Welcome!

This class will explore a new kind of fiction that is rising up from the cultural and socio economic experience of the last few generations: Urban Literature.

This class is not a reading class, but a seminar, where students drive the direction of the discussion.


These are a few of elements/items that will be covered/explored:
-Elements that make up any story
-Elements more specific to the genre
-Close read (how to analyze literature) of a class novel
-Authors who have made Urban Literature a "home"
-Writing a review for a book within the genre.
